From local to global

One border crossed, forty countries gained.

Challenge

An established Belgian payroll provider had historically focused entirely on the Belgian market. For clients with employees or activities abroad, there was no integrated international solution. The challenge was ambitious: to develop an entirely new service that could support those same clients across borders, without them having to manage dozens of local suppliers themselves.

Approach

Erik was given the responsibility of building this new activity from the ground up. He developed the service model, defined the commercial positioning and, in a short time, built an international network of specialised payroll and HR partners in more than forty countries. The philosophy was simple:

  • one point of contact
  • one central platform
  • uniform reporting
  • local expertise in every country

To make this happen, he combined strategic vision, business development, partner negotiations and operational implementation.

Result

Today, clients can be supported from one central organisation in more than forty countries. What started as an idea grew into a full-fledged international service that creates new commercial opportunities for both existing and new clients. It also laid a durable foundation for further international growth.

Real international growth doesn't start with a product, but with the right partners in the right places.
